The school year is winding down as the weather improves, creating that challenging spring tension between loads of work to do and the beautiful day inviting us outside, no, demanding that we go outside and leave the work behind. Brian and I are not immune to the call of the wild and yet we are both highly paid professionals with critically important jobs. (At least that’s what we keep telling ourselves!)
As we are now only a couple of weeks from the end of the school year and special events and responsibilities are gathering on our calendars, we find that today we will be unable to go into the studio and spin songs out for you.
We will be producing two more GRR’s, closing our third season on May 19. The final show of the year will take a look back at the best of Great River Radio from 2008/2009. We want suggestions from our listeners for the best music from the previous nine months. Please think back over the year and send us your ideas.
How about that Rachael Yamagata? Ray LaMontagne? That happy Michael Franti and Spearhead tune? Conor Oberst? Something Scandinavian? Something with a ukulele?
In the meantime, you have an opportunity today to catch up on recent Great River Radio episodes that you’ve missed. All the playlists from the year are also posted, to refresh your memories. Have a great day and we’ll be back with you next week.
