2008 was a year of interesting music, wasn’t it? And we mean “interesting” in a good way. Artists like MGMT, Santogold, Los Campesinos! and Vampire Weekend found enthusiastic followings. Reliable GRR favs Buddy & Julie Miller, DeVotchKa, Conor Oberst and Rufus Wainwright also released some solid music. Not to mention local stars Atmosphere and Haley Bonar. There was just a lot of exciting music out there last year.
So, when we wanted to know some of your top songs of 2008, you responded with some creative choices of your own at the Great River Radio website. This afternoon (that’s right, at our new time on Tuesdays 4-6 p.m. CST) we will mix all this wonderfulness together and give you an entertaining show of great music from last year’s playlists.
