Feb. 3, 2009

So, what do you have going on this afternoon? Finishing up that big report? Prepping for tomorrow’s class? Watching “Arrested Development” clips on YouTube? Well, how about checking out Great River Radio at our new time – 4 p.m. (CST).

We’ve got a pleasant mix music for you today, including new tunes from Neko Case, Lykke Li, Snow Patrol, M Ward, Arcade Fire and others. We have a short ukulele set … yes, ukulele set … featuring local artist Lucy Michelle and something brand new from Dent May and His Magnificent Ukulele. We’ll spin a couple of classics from Steve Earle and Portishead. And Dan’s happy that we’re going to play that catchy new tune from The Bird and the Bee that you heard here last week on Great River Radio. (That one really got stuck in his head in a good way.)

I must say I listen to the February 3rd show over and over again, I love “Meet Me in the Garden” and “My Love”–those two songs are perpetually stuck in my head. Thanks for introducing me, and consequently addicting me to new music.

Thanks for the note, Catherine and thanks for listening. “My Love” is a total earworm. Dan
