“When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
hen we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

But now it’s gettin’ late
And the moon is climbin’ high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin’ in your eye.

Because I’m still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I’m still in love with you
On this harvest moon.”
(Neil Young from Harvest Moon)

It’s harvest moon time at Great River Radio. Whether or not you believe in a lunar effect or moon “energy,” there is always something a little unusual happening during this time of the year. We’ll do our best to harness the power of the full-phase moon, and use the energy for good, not for evil.We have some extraordinary music tonight, including new tracks from Jenny Lewis, Frightened Rabbit and Girl Talk. We’ll also have tunes from music veterans Ry Cooder, Randy Newman, Ringo Starr, and a new track from Bob Dylan’s new Bootleg series releases. And as always, we’ll mix in some fresh takes on favorite songs.
